When you allow Financial Service Providers NZ Ltd to work with you, you benefit from the wealth of experience brought by owner David Weusten. David has 21 years of banking experience with ANZ both internationally and within New Zealand where he held many roles including Relationship Manager, Small Business Manager, Specialist Franchise Manager and Business Development Manager positions covering the South Island.
After leaving ANZ in 2000 David set up Financial Service Providers NZ Ltd and now has more than two decades as a successful independent financial advisor behind him. He also holds a Diploma in Business from the Southern Institute of Technology, a Certificate of Corporate Direction from the Institute of Directors and a Level 5 National Certificate in Financial Services.
During his career David has been involved with lending approvals in excess of $310million.
He has been widely published and has written several books and e-books on running a business and investing and looking after your money.
David is also very involved in the community putting his financial skills to good use through Kingdom Resources which assists people with budgeting advice, as a business advisor for Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) which gives high school students the chance to study business with mentors, and as a business mentor with Business Mentors NZ since 2001
Key information about working with Financial Service Providers NZ Ltd
Most of our meetings are done in our Christchurch office, or we can come to your place if practicable. We also offer appointments over the phone and via Zoom or online meeting. We find working remotely with our clients works well and we successfully achieve the desired results for them.
Fees and costs
In most cases for residential lending there is no cost to you for our service. This is because the lenders we work with pay us either a retainer or a fee for service when your mortgage is drawn. In some cases we may discuss a small fee for our work if it is not covered by the lender.
Arranging business finance is more complicated and therefore we do have a preparation fee of $500 and a maximum fee of 1.5% of the total finance - less the $500 preparation fee and any contribution from the lender.
Complaints process
If you are unhappy with the advice or service provided please get in touch with us in the first instance and we will work with you to resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be satisfactorily resolved you are able to contact the Financial Services Complaints Limited (“FSCL”) which is approved by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
